SAN NAZARIOSan Nazario is a small mountain village below San Mauro la Bruca. It is situated within a tranquil valley with a mellow river. The towns centerpiece is its outstanding church, which will charm the visitors with its simply beauty.
San Nazario is away from all tourism and contains, as a special sight, the only workable wooden oil press within the far vicinity.
San Nazario is positioned very quietly amidst extensive nature flanked by century old olive groves. The town is very typical for the Cilento area and has still kept its original traditions. For example, it is a daily occurrence that the local goat shepard guides his animals across the village.
In San Nazario you will find a baker, a butcher and a small tobacco store. Vegetables and fruits arrive daily with a truck that comes down the mountains.
